This year has been pretty busy. So even though I have a lovely bay window and a high ceiling that’s begging for a Christmas tree, it’s just not going to happen. However, there’s no reason Princess Piggy Poo can’t enjoy some holiday cheer in her new digs.
It’s a happy, cavy Christmas in her house. What furry friend wouldn’t wheek with delight at a Santa hat filled with hay? And, in true holiday tradition, green hay poking out of a red cap screams “Ho, Ho, Ho.”
Thanks to the local card shop, my accountant and favorite charity there are three glitter- and adornment-free cards decorating the corner of her cage. I know Princess Piggy Poo really enjoys the Christmas cards because they all have scalloped edges from her sinking her teeth into them (better them than me).
It’s nice to see Princess Piggy Poo experiencing the comfort and joy of this festive season. I was even thinking that if I turned her wooden house upside down and filled it with mounds of hay, with the three cards representing the wise men, we’d have a far-fetched nativity scene. But if I don’t have time for a Christmas tree, I certainly don’t have time to give religion to a guinea pig. With all her secular decorations, for Princess Piggy Poo, it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas.
