My friends with babies do a thing called swaddling—wrapping up their babies like little burritos—before putting them to bed. Swaddling is supposed to make babies feel secure and warm so they sleep soundly. I would never think to swaddle Princess Piggy Poo, but she continues to enjoy her guinea pig equivalent.
Now that winter is upon us and the temperatures in Southern California are colder than New York City, I’ve gotten out my hoodies and Princess Piggy Poo couldn’t be happier. I’ll sit her on my lap for cuddle time and she doesn’t waste a second burrowing into my kangaroo pocket.
You can’t fault Princess Piggy Poo for wanting to be warm and cozy. The bonus for me is that my pockets have a white furry heater to keep my hands warm—move over and make room for me, Princess Piggy Poo.
Yeppers, it’s pretty cold here in the desert, isn’t it? So “uncool,” since I only have five long-sleeve shirts to my name, and one windbreaker. Maybe I should invest in one or two of those hoodies you speak of. I certainly do not fault Princess Piggy Poo for wanting to “swaddle” in your pockets to keep warm; she’s a smart woman. I bet when you try to squeeze your hands in there with her, she is thinking along the same lines you are . . . “Help! Invasion of the warmth snatchers.” 🙂
She is so stinkin’ cute!
Yes, I agree, Amanda. Princess Piggy Poo is “so stinkin’ cute!” 🙂
